Milford-Haven is a fictional place, and the stories come from my imagination. However . . . the core story also comes from my own experiences, mirroring my own journey from head to heart. Driving the vintage Mustang I’d held onto since college days, I struck out to find my authentic voice, leaving behind the city life where I’d learned so much, but worked at telling others’ tales and not my own.
It took courage and defiance for that young woman to strike out into unknown territory, and that’s exactly what it took for my protagonist Miranda to follow her heart and find her home. You see, like me, she had to get lost . . . so she could get found.
